Retranscription des paroles de la vidéo: I recently stayed at the hotel on the premises of the Palace of Versailles and got a private tour of the Chateau including a visit to Marie Antoinette’s private Chambers there are only 11 rooms at the hotel and you need to book about a year in advance let’s go the Palace of Versailles is located in the town oversai [Music] we got to the hotel this was the lobby it really felt like we were transported back in time to the 1700s everything was so beautiful so much attention to detail while they were prepping the room for us to check in we went on a picnic by the river we took a golf cart and followed the map the golf cart was actually so frustratingly slow but I get that they don’t want you to run anyone over [Music] we got to our picnic spot and the hotel staff prepared everything for us in advance and there was a hotel employee who was nearby and would come and go to serve the food this was the setup the cute umbrella cute picnic basket there were some boats going back and forth so this was our lunch the first course we had a burrata [Music] then for the main dish we had fish and asparagus they also gave us a goodie bag with some fans a water spray and sunscreen oh my God the desserts were so good in particular this little tartlet and of course we had champagne [Music] when we got back from our picnic the room was ready for us to check in so let me give you a quick tour you enter the room and there’s this long hallway [Music] we have closets on the right and then this is the main room the bed was so comfortable you have a window over there a desk a fireplace I don’t know if it’s functional this was the view from our window that right there is the Palace of Versailles how cool is that [Music] then at the other end of the hallway we have another window [Music] here we have a bunch of closets I only filmed this part with a coffee machine but you can also hang clothes in the other section of it this is the bathroom [Music] it had a shower and two sinks and a large mirror the slippers were so cozy these are the toiletries we got they were very nice the water closet was separate from the bathroom [Music] we had some stationery here you can send a postcard we got settled in our room and then we went to the Hotel restaurant to have an afternoon tea to be honest I was still so full from lunch and it was a bit too hot for tea but everything was so fabulous I really enjoyed the experience all employees were wearing 18th century outfits I didn’t film them because these are people at their workplace and I didn’t want to put a camera in their face but it looks something like this that I caught a glimpse of we got a glass of champagne each and then this was the setup we had tea and some food [Music] I wanted to take some pictures before we had to go to the pool and then to the Palace store and then to dinner and that was my moment to do so we just went in front of the palace and took some pictures and videos there this whole entire day was jam-packed with activity after activity it was like 4 P.M and at that point we had already checked in drove around the golf cart had a picnic lunch had an afternoon tea took some photos changed into her bathing suits and we’re heading over to the spa area so this is the entrance to the spa area we booked the whole pool area for ourselves for about an hour [Music] so this is the pool area you have a sitting area on each side of the pool [Music] and there’s also a sauna and a steam room so this was the sauna it was set to 80 degrees Celsius [Music] and this was the steam room [Music] we jumped in the pool and then alternated between the pool and the sauna it was very refreshing [Music] then it was time for us to go get ready for a tour of the Palace of Versailles foreign next we had a private tour of the Versailles Palace I was so excited about it and somehow weirdly nervous it was a guided tour with like a Versailles expert as well as someone from the palace who made sure we don’t touch anything or lean against anything the tour was together with a guest from the other 10 rooms of the hotel so not entirely private unless you book the entire hotel but it was outside the palace’s business hours so there was no one else there other than us because during the day it’s packed with people the guide walked us through the main rooms and provided some additional context and explained some interesting things that you wouldn’t usually know unless you’re a French Revolution Enthusiast or maybe they teach these details in schools in France I don’t know I actually don’t have that much footage from here because I was listening to what she was telling it was super interesting like for example this painting right here that was hanging in Marie Antoinette’s public bedroom she told us that Louis XVI commissioned it to show Marie Antoinette in a more modest and positive lie she was seen by the public in a very negative light due to her lavish lifestyle and excessive spending but here you see her as a mother surrounded by her children she’s not dressed lavishly but France was going bankrupt at the time and I hope I remember the details correctly but basically by the time this painting was completed Marie Antoinette didn’t want to pay for it so the artist kept it and when it was time for like the great reveal of the new painting there was just an empty wall and I don’t remember exactly who was attending it I guess people from the Royal Court but the point was that people saw this empty space on the wall and were saying here is your deficit as in like this is what she sunk her money into and the guide was also telling a bunch of trivia about the palace and the royal couple it was super interesting so this was Marie Antoinette’s public bedroom we also visited her private bedroom later in the tour which is not something you get to see in the general admission here so it was really cool and to give you some context if you don’t know why would she have a public bedroom in the first place they had a ton of daily rituals in Versailles where the court the other Nobles that were living there had to attend daily to see the king Louis the 16th and the queen Marie Antoinette doing their daily routines like getting dressed eating and going to sleep it was done to keep everyone at the palace busy to have a schedule but also like as a power move and then she also had her private Chambers where she would go for some privacy [Music] this is the famous Hall of Mirrors this is where everyone takes photos I put so much pressure on myself to take the best pictures and the best videos and I still feel like I don’t have enough I mean it’s so cool like you’re here alone basically I mean except the other people that are on the tour [Music] thank you [Music] then we went to Marie Antoinette a private Chambers she had this little living room and a bathroom and a library and this is actually so funny the guy told us that Marie Antoinette hated reading so she never read anything like not books not even letters from her mother back in Austria where she was originally from but she had this entire Library made for her and had 1800 books in it because she just liked the aesthetic and then the guy told us that the first book she ever read was when she was in prison when she was like 36 and if I may add this room is really dark I can’t imagine someone actually reading in here [Music] and that was the end of the tour it was so cool we went outside and there was this beautiful sunset over the gardens [Music] after the tour we headed over to the hotel restaurant for dinner we had this beautiful private room booked it’s called the Marie Antoinette Salon everything here is Miranda one of this Miranda wanted that she’s an icon it was a full course menu with wine pairing it was a set menu so everyone at the hotel restaurant was getting the same meal unless you have some dietary restrictions I assume I’m not sure about vegetarian or vegan menu options but I assume that can be accommodated if you tell them in advance [Music] first we got appetizers the one in the middle was raw salmon and then the other two were puff pastries I’m not sure but if I remember correctly and based on what it looks like one was with some spinach cream and the other was with caramelized onions and prosciutto maybe we got a glass of champagne each with appetizers it’s not part of the wine pairing for the meal then they brought out some bread and butter I don’t remember exactly anymore but I think the yellow butter was just your classic salted butter and then the other one was mustard and something I think it might have been buckwheat I personally prefer the yellow salted butter [Music] then for the first course we had clams I think the base was seaweed maybe I’m not sure and green peas with basil it was served cold and the texture was similar to a sorbet [Music] here in the Golden Goblet we had white asparagus and gold caviar and then on the plate we had mushrooms and zabalian cream I love the dinner wearing glasses then we had broil a la munier with carrots Brill is the type of fish and munier is a French sauce that is usually served with fish and it’s made out of brown butter chopped parsley and lemon so we were in a private room but this is what the rest of the restaurant looked like [Music] and then this is it from the outside and this is the lobby area then we had roast beef Swiss chard tartlets filled with Ox cheek and a side of mashed potatoes [Music] finally we had dessert first we had shaved cheese on cherries at this point the sommelier asked if we wanted a dessert wine or if we wanted to continue with red wine my partner got a dessert wine and I wanted the red wine with cheese then we moved on to the Sweet desserts and I got a dessert wine here finally to fill this fabulous glass that’s been standing here empty the whole time [Music] I don’t usually like dessert wine but this one was really nice [Music] then we had different tartlets with berries and a strawberry sorbet [Music] and lastly we had chocolate souffle dinner was so good and it was a lot of food we were so full [Music] and that was the end of our first day in Versailles we got back in our room and they organized our cables in these cute little pouches [Music] the following morning there was a tour of Marie Antoinette’s private estate that she had nearby but we decided to skip it because we wanted to go on a run and take our time because the previous day was so intense so we let them know that we won’t be joining so that they don’t wait for us so we went on a run the cool thing is that the palace is closed for the public on Mondays and we stayed there on Sunday night so Monday morning we basically had the whole place to ourselves foreign [Music] food here is so good I usually don’t have a problem eating breakfast even if I had a large dinner the night before but I could barely eat anything from how full I was from the day before that is the room where we’re done the night before thank you [Music] and that was it it was such a special experience we did so many things that it felt like we spent several days there and not just one night in terms of how long it should stay for I think that if you want the full experience one night is enough because then the next day it would have the same tour of Versailles and the same dinner experience and the same tour of Marie Antoinette’s estate so I think the novelty of it might wear off by the next day but we really packed our day with activities there was no down time whatsoever so we really did everything we wanted to do that day if you want to take things slower and spread the activities across a couple days you could absolutely do that but know that even one night is completely fine and that is it for this video let me know if you have any questions don’t forget to like And subscribe thanks for watching see you later [Music] thank you [Music] .

.179 I recently stayed at the hotel on the
.7 premises of the Palace of Versailles and
.04 got a private tour of the Chateau
.72 including a visit to Marie Antoinette’s

.4 located in the town oversai
.26 [Music]
.84 we got to the hotel this was the lobby
.48 it really felt like we were transported

.88 so beautiful so much attention to detail
.0 while they were prepping the room for us
.04 to check in we went on a picnic by the
.38 river we took a golf cart and followed
.42 the map
.94 the golf cart was actually so
.579 frustratingly slow but I get that they
.16 don’t want you to run anyone over
.96 [Music]
.66 we got to our picnic spot and the hotel
.52 staff prepared everything for us in
.379 advance and there was a hotel employee
.359 who was nearby and would come and go to
.4 serve the food this was the setup the
.619 cute umbrella cute picnic basket there
.32 were some boats going back and forth
.02 so this was our lunch the first course
.72 we had a burrata
.39 [Music]
.72 then for the main dish we had fish and
.82 asparagus
.979 they also gave us a goodie bag with some
.259 fans a water spray and sunscreen
.46 oh my God the desserts were so good in
.38 particular this little tartlet and of
.84 course we had champagne
.99 [Music]
.18 when we got back from our picnic the
.579 room was ready for us to check in so let
.04 me give you a quick tour you enter the
.259 room and there’s this long hallway
.87 [Music]
.64 we have closets on the right
.92 and then this is the main room
.239 the bed was so comfortable
.739 you have a window over there
.48 a desk
.239 a fireplace I don’t know if it’s
.76 functional
.72 this was the view from our window that
.12 right there is the Palace of Versailles
.22 how cool is that
.28 [Music]
.78 then at the other end of the hallway we
.459 have another window
.86 [Music]
.86 here we have a bunch of closets I only
.599 filmed this part with a coffee machine
.04 but you can also hang clothes in the
.14 other section of it
.42 this is the bathroom
.87 [Music]
.64 it had a shower and two sinks and a
.8 large mirror
.26 the slippers were so cozy
.739 these are the toiletries we got they
.26 were very nice
.44 the water closet was separate from the
.3 bathroom
.82 [Music]
.22 we had some stationery here
.58 you can send a postcard
.04 we got settled in our room and then we
.62 went to the Hotel restaurant to have an
.54 afternoon tea to be honest I was still
.54 so full from lunch and it was a bit too
.0 hot for tea but everything was so
.98 fabulous I really enjoyed the experience
.72 all employees were wearing 18th century
.48 outfits I didn’t film them because these
.459 are people at their workplace and I
.2 didn’t want to put a camera in their
.34 face but it looks something like this
.26 that I caught a glimpse of
.36 we got a glass of champagne each and
.94 then this was the setup
.5 we had tea and some food
.19 [Music]
.919 I wanted to take some pictures before we
.44 had to go to the pool and then to the
.3 Palace store and then to dinner and that
.759 was my moment to do so we just went in
.28 front of the palace and took some
.78 pictures and videos there
.759 this whole entire day was jam-packed
.34 with activity after activity it was like
.979 4 P.M and at that point we had already
.74 checked in drove around the golf cart
.96 had a picnic lunch had an afternoon tea
.84 took some photos changed into her
.36 bathing suits and we’re heading over to
.759 the spa area
.919 so this is the entrance to the spa area
.56 we booked the whole pool area for
.66 ourselves for about an hour
.45 [Music]
.74 so this is the pool area you have a
.44 sitting area on each side of the pool
.69 [Music]
.979 and there’s also a sauna and a steam
.74 room so this was the sauna
.46 it was set to 80 degrees Celsius
.31 [Music]
.979 and this was the steam room
.05 [Music]
.919 we jumped in the pool and then
.18 alternated between the pool and the
.979 sauna
.66 it was very refreshing
.22 [Music]
.46 then it was time for us to go get ready
.259 for a tour of the Palace of Versailles
.1 foreign
.96 next we had a private tour of the
.58 Versailles Palace I was so excited about
.039 it and somehow weirdly nervous it was a
.1 guided tour with like a Versailles
.44 expert as well as someone from the
.6 palace who made sure we don’t touch
.46 anything or lean against anything
.3 the tour was together with a guest from
.58 the other 10 rooms of the hotel so not
.16 entirely private unless you book the
.08 entire hotel but it was outside the
.36 palace’s business hours so there was no
.52 one else there other than us because
.56 during the day it’s packed with people
.24 the guide walked us through the main
.699 rooms and provided some additional
.44 context and explained some interesting
.66 things that you wouldn’t usually know
.34 unless you’re a French Revolution
.08 Enthusiast or maybe they teach these
.18 details in schools in France I don’t
.74 know I actually don’t have that much
.78 footage from here because I was
.52 listening to what she was telling it was
.5 super interesting like for example this
.38 painting right here that was hanging in
.12 Marie Antoinette’s public bedroom she
.46 told us that Louis XVI commissioned it
.28 to show Marie Antoinette in a more
.08 modest and positive lie she was seen by
.66 the public in a very negative light due
.819 to her lavish lifestyle and excessive
.099 spending but here you see her as a
.68 mother surrounded by her children she’s
.199 not dressed lavishly but France was
.259 going bankrupt at the time and I hope I
.9 remember the details correctly but
.28 basically by the time this painting was
.139 completed Marie Antoinette didn’t want
.12 to pay for it so the artist kept it and
.419 when it was time for like the great
.58 reveal of the new painting there was
.62 just an empty wall and I don’t remember
.84 exactly who was attending it I guess
.58 people from the Royal Court but the
.979 point was that people saw this empty
.72 space on the wall and were saying here
.18 is your deficit as in like this is what
.4 she sunk her money into and the guide
.38 was also telling a bunch of trivia about
.12 the palace and the royal couple it was
.039 super interesting so this was Marie
.259 Antoinette’s public bedroom we also
.36 visited her private bedroom later in the
.34 tour which is not something you get to
.44 see in the general admission here so it
.139 was really cool and to give you some
.759 context if you don’t know why would she
.86 have a public bedroom in the first place
.479 they had a ton of daily rituals in
.879 Versailles where the court the other
.919 Nobles that were living there had to
.199 attend daily to see the king Louis the
.02 16th and the queen Marie Antoinette
.94 doing their daily routines like getting
.06 dressed eating and going to sleep it was
.88 done to keep everyone at the palace busy
.52 to have a schedule but also like as a
.219 power move and then she also had her
.44 private Chambers where she would go for
.72 some privacy
.42 [Music]
.26 this is the famous Hall of Mirrors this
.12 is where everyone takes photos I put so
.76 much pressure on myself to take the best
.62 pictures and the best videos and I still
.6 feel like I don’t have enough I mean
.64 it’s so cool like you’re here alone
.92 basically I mean except the other people
.14 that are on the tour
.14 [Music]
.779 thank you
.63 [Music]
.6 then we went to Marie Antoinette a
.16 private Chambers she had this little
.38 living room and a bathroom and a library
.779 and this is actually so funny the guy
.42 told us that Marie Antoinette hated
.94 reading so she never read anything like
.519 not books not even letters from her
.26 mother back in Austria where she was
.0 originally from but she had this entire
.88 Library made for her and had 1800 books
.18 in it because she just liked the
.519 aesthetic
.779 and then the guy told us that the first
.12 book she ever read was when she was in
.399 prison when she was like 36 and if I may
.7 add this room is really dark I can’t
.459 imagine someone actually reading in here
.64 [Music]
.779 and that was the end of the tour it was
.7 so cool
.38 we went outside and there was this
.54 beautiful sunset over the gardens
.16 [Music]
.82 after the tour we headed over to the
.38 hotel restaurant for dinner we had this
.959 beautiful private room booked it’s
.82 called the Marie Antoinette Salon
.2 everything here is Miranda one of this
.54 Miranda wanted that she’s an icon it was
.959 a full course menu with wine pairing it
.66 was a set menu so everyone at the hotel
.0 restaurant was getting the same meal
.92 unless you have some dietary
.24 restrictions I assume I’m not sure about
.279 vegetarian or vegan menu options but I
.1 assume that can be accommodated if you
.839 tell them in advance
.07 [Music]
.26 first we got appetizers the one in the
.839 middle was raw salmon and then the other
.88 two were puff pastries I’m not sure but
.88 if I remember correctly and based on
.04 what it looks like one was with some
.32 spinach cream and the other was with
.019 caramelized onions and prosciutto maybe
.04 we got a glass of champagne each with
.72 appetizers it’s not part of the wine
.06 pairing for the meal
.279 then they brought out some bread and
.6 butter I don’t remember exactly anymore
.399 but I think the yellow butter was just
.56 your classic salted butter and then the
.14 other one was mustard and something I
.36 think it might have been buckwheat I
.1 personally prefer the yellow salted
.72 butter
.49 [Music]
.22 then for the first course we had clams I
.459 think the base was seaweed maybe I’m not
.86 sure and green peas with basil
.62 it was served cold and the texture was
.2 similar to a sorbet
.45 [Music]
.54 here in the Golden Goblet we had white
.579 asparagus and gold caviar
.86 and then on the plate we had mushrooms
.079 and zabalian cream
.04 I love the dinner wearing glasses
.459 then we had broil a la munier with
.16 carrots Brill is the type of fish and
.86 munier is a French sauce that is usually
.92 served with fish and it’s made out of
.079 brown butter chopped parsley and lemon
.98 so we were in a private room but this is
.56 what the rest of the restaurant looked
.12 like
.46 [Music]
.339 and then this is it from the outside and
.86 this is the lobby area
.72 then we had roast beef Swiss chard
.72 tartlets filled with Ox cheek and a side
.18 of mashed potatoes
.09 [Music]
.579 finally we had dessert first we had
.459 shaved cheese on cherries at this point
.04 the sommelier asked if we wanted a
.44 dessert wine or if we wanted to continue
.18 with red wine my partner got a dessert
.579 wine and I wanted the red wine with
.74 cheese
.16 then we moved on to the Sweet desserts
.779 and I got a dessert wine here finally to
.26 fill this fabulous glass that’s been
.88 standing here empty the whole time
.88 [Music]
.74 I don’t usually like dessert wine but
.72 this one was really nice
.92 [Music]
.62 then we had different tartlets with
.72 berries and a strawberry sorbet
.79 [Music]
.459 and lastly we had chocolate souffle
.18 dinner was so good and it was a lot of
.459 food we were so full
.13 [Music]
.04 and that was the end of our first day in
.56 Versailles
.279 we got back in our room and they
.32 organized our cables in these cute
.18 little pouches
.26 [Music]
.42 the following morning there was a tour
.519 of Marie Antoinette’s private estate
.38 that she had nearby but we decided to
.6 skip it because we wanted to go on a run
.699 and take our time because the previous
.26 day was so intense so we let them know
.199 that we won’t be joining so that they
.88 don’t wait for us so we went on a run
.22 the cool thing is that the palace is
.139 closed for the public on Mondays and we
.019 stayed there on Sunday night so Monday
.24 morning we basically had the whole place
.04 to ourselves
.62 foreign
.91 [Music]
.72 food here is so good I usually don’t
.82 have a problem eating breakfast even if
.68 I had a large dinner the night before
.24 but I could barely eat anything from how
.0 full I was from the day before
.18 that is the room where we’re done the
.98 night before
.019 thank you
.04 [Music]
.459 and that was it it was such a special
.199 experience we did so many things that it
.6 felt like we spent several days there
.399 and not just one night in terms of how
.98 long it should stay for I think that if
.079 you want the full experience one night
.18 is enough because then the next day it
.82 would have the same tour of Versailles
.74 and the same dinner experience and the
.54 same tour of Marie Antoinette’s estate
.22 so I think the novelty of it might wear
.98 off by the next day but we really packed
.639 our day with activities there was no
.98 down time whatsoever so we really did
.22 everything we wanted to do that day if
.16 you want to take things slower and
.44 spread the activities across a couple
.36 days you could absolutely do that but
.24 know that even one night is completely
.22 fine and that is it for this video let
.22 me know if you have any questions don’t
.959 forget to like And subscribe thanks for
.12 watching see you later
.42 [Music]
